Oslo, Norway

Alexis and I met in Oslo, Norway on Friday October 26th. I flew into Oslo from Malaga, or so I thought. I accidently booked a flight to Sandefjord, which is a city an hour and a half away from Oslo. It was okay though I found out a few days before I arrived and had already booked a bus to the city. I got to the city around 3pm. I saw a sign for a taco buffet on my walk to the Airbnb so we decided to start our evening out there. We went to Klosterenga Café, got drinks and waited for the buffet to start.

Our drinks at the taco buffet. The buffet ended up being vegetarian, but it was amazing. Alexis and I also visited a local bar, a restaurant, and one more bar that night. Our experience at the last bar was awesome. We made friends with the locals and they were so kind to us!

Saturday morning we went to Galgen, the restaurant we went to the night before for drinks. The staff there were awesome and always willing to translate the menu for us. This breakfast was one of the best ones I have had in Europe.

After breakfast we headed to the ~free~ intercultural museum. It was small yet very interesting.

We visited the Norwegian Parliament with hopes of going on a tour. However the Saturday we were there was the one Saturday they were closed for a private event. It was a bummer.

Next, we headed to Royal Palace. It has nothing on the one in Madrid. It was still neat, though.

Our last stop for the night was the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet. There was an amazing view from the roof of the building.

Lastly, here are some pictures from Sandefjord, the town I flew into. Norway was gorgeous and it was great to see the start of fall there. It reminded me a lot of southern Illinois.

Sunday Alexis left early so I got up and had breakfast at Galgen again before heading to the bus station to read. This blog is very short, similar to our time in Oslo. The trip was great though and it is always fun to travel with Alexis!

I promise my next blog will be more fun to read y’all.
