Finals? Never heard of her.

A Day in the Lou: 04/27/2018

Mi amiga Ashley and I agreed to meet at The Sweet Divine for coffee, some sweet treats, and a “study” date. Ha! This turned into an exploration of the neighborhood and eventually the city. I’ll start from the beginning in Soulard.

Not only were the cupcakes and coffee delicious, but this shop is so cute! Also, they have indoor and outdoor seating which we were luckily able to take advantage of in yesterday’s amazing weather. Here is a look inside the store.

You all will soon come to realize that I love a pretty bathroom and I have to say that theirs might be the most photogenic one I have been in yet.

Seriously if y’all are ever in Soulard. or close, stop by! They have a mimosa bar on Sundays.Β πŸ₯‚

Next,

Forest Park. There are so many cute photo opp locations, a trail for running/walking/biking, the St. Louis Zoo, the St. Louis Art Museum (mentioned in a previous Instagram post), and other attractions listed here.

Lastly, we were starving after all of the walking we had done so we headed over to Mission Taco – Delmar Loop. We had outdoor seating again! We shared the queso con chorizo. Ashley satisfied her shrimp craving she mentioned earlier with their shrimp tacos while I enjoyed their habanero chicken tacos. The food was amazing and the Loop is a unique area that has a lot to offer.

St. Louis is bursting with adventure opportunities, way more than we could cover in a day. We plan on doing a lot more exploring in the city and around the Metro-East. Ashley and I love new coffee shops so please send any suggestions you all have our way!

Until next time,

β™₯ Annie
