Allison and Courtney had already planned a trip to Porto before they arrived in Spain but with a little discussion and the approval of their Airbnb host I convinced them to let me tag along. Even though I had to sleep on a tiny couch, it was so worth it! It has been so long that I do not remember all of the adventures of our trip, but here are the highlights.

First off, the views were killer around our airbnb. Looking at the picture in the middle, directly facing the bridge, we stayed to the right of the bridge. The hills in this city were also killer.

This was at an awesome market close to where we stayed. They had a bunch of little difference food shops. I got to try my first sangria that wasn’t red. It was delicious.

I believe this cake was from an Italian restaurant along the river. Why wouldn’t we eat Italian food in Portugal??

We also made our own little “spread” one morning for breakfast. I wish I had pictures of the airbnb. It was so tiny but such an awesome space.

The cutest little café and a sandwich that I do not believe I got there. I’m going to throw it into the mix, anyhow. It was goooood.

A few different sights from the city. We did a lot of walking and wandering on this trip. I loved every second of it.

The absolute best part of the trip – Livraria Lello. This is the bookstore where J. K. Rowling did much of her writing for Harry Potter while she was living in Porto. The place was packed and you had to buy a ticket and wait in line to go in. The wait was worth it. I wish I could have taken better pictures the place is gorgeous. If you google it, you will see its stunning staircase in its full glory. I believe I bought The Cursed Child from the store. As you can see, they had a platform 9 3/4 there, too.

I am forever thankful for these ladies and letting me tag along on their trip.
