The last weekend trip I went on with my program was to Sevilla and Córdoba. I was in a funky mood this trip and missing home a bit so I was not much in the mood to be traveling. I took quite a bit of pictures the first day but not many the second. I would visit these cities again since I did not appreciate them much the first time around.
Sevilla is home to the world’s largest Gothic cathedral. It is where we spent most of our day while in the city.

We also visited the Real Alcázar gardens, which may look familiar to GOT fans (season five).

Close to the gardens were the AIRE ancient baths. One regret I have from my study abroad experience would be never partaking in any of the ancient baths. When I find my way back to Europe one day that will be one stop to have on my itinerary.

The last place we explored in Sevilla was the Giralda which is the town’s bell tower. The climb to the top was insane but the views were worth it.

Córdoba is home to a Mosque-Cathedral if you can believe that. The building is home to the red and white arches that I am sure many have seen before. We actually ran into a friend from school, Kat, while at the mosque which was pretty cool. It truly is a small world.

The week before the trip, our program hosted a Spanish Thanksgiving for us. I will be honest, the food was kinda horrible but it’s the thought that counts! And it was always fun spending time with the kids from the program. Courtney could not attend because her family was in town so I photoshopped her into our picture so she didn’t feel left out. 🙂

With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, I want to say that I am thankful to be in America where I can eat a real Thanksgiving meal. Although, I am working night shift that night so my meal will consist of an energy drink and whatever leftovers I can find at work.

P.S. After posting this I found two more pictures that my program had posted on their facebook page.
