I traveled to Florida in early May. Yet here I am in July finally writing a blog about the trip. I kept telling myself I would write it when my new room was finished and I had a desk area to sit and type at, but the room is taking a lot longer to fix than I expected. Although I am excited about the new room I am even more excited about the reason behind it, my sister is having another baby (Jack) and we have to make room for him at our house! Now back to the blog. I learned a very important lesson on this trip. I need to take MORE pictures. I have quite a few scenery photos, but not many from the locations we went to. So I apologize for the not so super exciting post you all are about to see. Now let’s get to it.
The flight: I flew Allegiant. OMG, I know. Allegiant. It was great. I survived. No issues with the flight. However I did have the start of an allergic reaction on the flight. It was very uncomfortable so I slept most of the way. (Just a little life tip, check with your family members to see if they are allergic to any medications that you are going to try, it can save your life, like literally.) Anyways, here are some pictures of my views during the trip.
Tarpon Springs – The Sponge Docks. Restaurant: Hellas Restaurant and Bakery. The Sponge Docks was filled with restaurants, shops, and adventures. We walked both sides of the street stopping at stores filled with anything from shirts and sponges to model boats. At Hellas I had the Key Lime pie and Josh had a piece of Oreo cheesecake. Delicious!!
Our next stop on Thursday was to Clearwater Beach. The upper left photo was taken in Dunedin on our way to the beach. Look at that water and the white sand and the palm trees!!! I just love the beach. Sadly we did not get to dip in the water this day, but we didΒ the next day.
TACOSΒ πππ Ricky T’s – Treasure Island.

My sweet cousin and I right before heading to the beach. We have a thing for pirates as her dad’s nickname is Captain Red Beard.
Fort Desoto beach. There are quite a few beaches to choose from in this area. There was a lot of room for everybody and lots of close parking. I am sure all of the views are just as great as the ones here. Again, the water and the white sand!! We put up a canopy and relaxed for a couple of hours. I had just gotten my EHFAR tattoo a week before this so I am sure it was a sight to see me in the water standing with my hands above my head like I had a side stitch.
Saturday the girls went shopping at the outlets while the boys went fishing. That night we ordered pizza and had s’mores. Sunday was spent napping and watching movies. Then Monday morning I had to be at the airport at five. It was such an awesome trip and a great break right after the end of the semester. I am so thankful I was able to spend a few days with my cousins before I head out to Spain. Thank you again Josh and Sierra for hosting me. It was a blast!!
